Public Consultation on the draft Rights of Way Improvement Plan. Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000
Comments are invited on the draft Rights of Way Improvement Plan (ROWIP) produced by the County Council.
The Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 (CROW) placed a duty on all local authorities to publish a Rights of Way Improvement Plan for their area. In drawing up the Plan authorities are required to assess the extent to which local rights of way meet the present and likely future needs of the public; the opportunities provided by local rights of way for exercise and other forms of open-air recreation.
A copy of the draft ROWIP is available for inspection from the 1st August 2018 at Neuadd Cyngor Ceredigion, Penmorfa, Aberaeron, SA46 0PA during office hours, at the County’s local libraries during usual opening times and on the Council’s website http://www.ceredigion.gov.uk/your-council/consultations/rights-of-way-improvement-plan-countryside-and-rights-of-way-act-2000/
The Council would welcome comments or observations on the draft ROWIP. Comments should be sent in writing to Eifion Jones, Economy and Regeneration Service, Neuadd Cyngor Ceredigion, Penmorfa, Aberaeron, SA46 0PA or by e-mail to Eifion.Jones@ceredigion.gov.uk by no later than Midday on the 1st November 2018.
In line with the regulations we will consider any duly made representations and acknowledge their receipt. At the end of the consultation period, we will write to all consultees, and others who have submitted representations, with a summary of the comments made and any amendments that we propose to make to the draft plan as a result. We will also state when the finalised plan is expected to be published.
