SIDE BY SIDE CYMRU – FROM MIND ABERYSTWYTH

For many of us attending arts and craft, sport or self-help groups can make a big difference to our lives – even something as simple as a regular coffee morning can be a real lifeline.
Groups can be great for linking up with people who’ve had similar experiences to our own – and this can really boost our mental health. We call this peer support.
If you’re part of an organisation or community group that offers peer support – or are thinking about starting a group – we can help you get started.
Thanks to support from Wales Government and Mind Cymru, we’re running a series of free training and networking sessions where you can see how others have successfully run groups. You’ll also be able to find support from others in your area.
We’re also offering small grants to help you get started. This money could be used for things like venue hire, leaflets, materials for activities, amongst many other things.
