How can your organisation get involved with influencing policy decisions in Wales?

A new information sheet on the role of the third sector in influencing policy-makers has been published.

The sheet, published by Third Sector Support Wales*, explores:

  • Why the third sector should be involved in influencing, including the sector’s contribution to the economy and the experience and ideas it can bring to policy discussion.
  • How the sector can get involved in influencing, looking at how TSSW facilitates networks, connects sector representatives and networks with public sector governance arrangements, campaigns on issues and provides information.
  • Third sector influencing channels, including the role of County Voluntary Councils, Public Services Boards, Regional Partnership Boards, the Third Sector Partnership Council and third sector Ministerial Meetings.

For more information, contact help@wcva.org.uk or your local CVC.

*Third Sector Support Wales is the support infrastructure for the voluntary sector in Wales, comprising the 19 County Voluntary Councils and WCVA.
