As the County Voluntary Council, CAVO, is represented on all the major partnerships in Ceredigion.Our place around the table is to provide an overview of the voluntary sector. We often sit alonside other voluntary sector representatives that are able to give a more grassroots perspective. Where we are the only voluntary sector representative we rely on groups in the wider sector to keep us informed of issues and concerns that they want raised at partnership meetings. We aim to disseminate information from these meetings to the wider voluntary sector and to channel input from the voluntary sector into the planning processes in County.
Where a partnership or group would like to invite a voluntary sector representive to become part of the partnership or group, CAVO can run an election to identify a suitable candidate and can help to support that representive and to broadcast information to the wider voluntary sector. |

|
A Partnership or Planning Group will often seek a representative from the voluntary sector to sit around the table. That representative maybe asked to be there to give a view from a voluntary sector perspective or they may be asked to represent the voluntary sector. Representing the voluntary sector involves considerably more work.
