Ceredigion Community Transport is pleased to offer everybody the chance to find out more about volunteering within Community Transport! We will be holding a drop in session at Cardigan Job Centre on the 10th December from 10am - 12:00pm. There are many opportunities for volunteering within community transport not just driving. For example trustees, committee members, co-ordinators. You may have the skills or experience which a community transport group requires such as financial, legal, IT and marketing expertise. Had a brilliant time at the CTA Wales Awards Dinner with the Dolen Teifi Crew ~!~ Well done to Dolen Teifi for being nominated in the Best Community Transport Operator and Richard Davies, Dolen Teifi, for being nominated for Outstanding Contribution to Community Transport ~ The CTA Wales conference was a great chance to share ideas and have a catch up ~~~
Congratulations to the six drivers from West Wales who took part in the qualifing heat for MiDAS driver of the year at Aberporth Airfield. Peter, Nick, Eddie, Lyn, Clare and Jonathan battled it out undertaking a quiz, a timed manouver throught cones and an on road driving assessment. The standard of driving was very high and the two MiDAS assessors Ian and Reg ensured that the competition was judged fairly. All drivers were awarded with certifactes and prizes with Nick and Eddie taking first and second place ~!~ well done ~!~ Nick and Eddie will go on to compete at the CTA Wales MiDAS Driver of the Year 2012 in October in Cardiff with free tickets to the CTA awards dinner and accommodation ~ good luck ~!~ Many thanks to Christine and Marjorie for keeping to troops well fed
Congratulations to Ystwyth Transport who launched a new dial-a-ride service in the Aberffrwd area. This service is an extention of the Bws y Bryniau service and is already very popular with the local residents, providing them with vital transport links to local services and ammentities. Ceredigion Community Transport are pleased to be holding the driver of the year qualifying heats~!~ All Midas trained drivers are welcome to join in on Saturday 21st July at Aberporth Airfield. All entries will receive certificates and prizes ~!~ There are three parts to the heats, a quiz, a series of manoeuvre and a 30 minute driving session ~ please get in touch to book your place ~!~
