Enterprising communities
What is Enterprising Communities? Enterprising communities is a project that provides practical support to third organisations to help them become more sustainable, generate new income and successfully bid to deliver public services. The project is funded by the Welsh Government and European Structural Funds (European Regional Development Fund) managed by WCVA and delivered locally by Wales’ network of County Voluntary Councils.
What sort of support can the project provide? Through Enterprising Communities Officers based across convergence areas, the project will provide organisations with information and support on funding, organisational management and volunteer development, as well as offering expertise around financial sustainability. In practice, this might mean advice on organisational structures or implementing quality assurance systems and good employment practices. The project will also help organisations to identify new ways of generating income.
Is the project right for me? The project isn’t a grant fund nor is it a sign-post to new grants, but it can help organisations develop and build a more financially sustainable future. If you are a third sector organisation, small or large based in Ceredigion and have some ideas about how you could generate new income, then get in touch with CAVO on 01570 423 232 or email

. Organisations with an interest in the project will be asked to complete an expression of interest from to see if the project is right for the organisation and to get a better of the understanding of the group.
