Salary: £18,746 per annum, pro rata (based on 35 hrs pw full time equivalent)

Hours: 3 days/21 hours per week

Annual Leave: 28 days including Bank Holidays (pro rata)

If you meet the Citizens Advice competences for Generalist Adviser, with recent experience at this level and a proven track record in helping clients address their benefits and other issues, we’d love to hear from you. The role will involve supporting our project work by providing flexible appointments in a range of settings, including home visits, to meet client needs.


You will provide confidential one-to-one ‘Energy Best Deal Extra’ advice sessions to clients that are fuel poor, or at risk of fuel poverty, covering the full range of

generalist advice, including benefit checks, fuel debt advice, energy advice, and the above issues in more depth, with referral to specialists as relevant to meet client need. You will also assist in providing cover for staff on other projects, such as our GP outreach benefit take-up service (BABH) and help clients with disabled children to maximise their income.


Access to transport and the willingness and ability to travel to various locations in the county is a requirement of the post.
