This is an exciting opportunity to join an organisation dedicated to providing specialist support to women, men and children who have experienced domestic abuse.
As a Refuge worker you will be working with women, children and young people in our refuges and with adults in our safe housing.
The role is very rewarding. No two days are ever the same and the successful candidate will need to be patient, prepared to listen, non-judgemental and practical.
The post is for 30 hours per week for 12 months on a fixed term contract with possible extension depending on future funding. The post salary is £16,500 pro-rata including on call. Please see job description and person spec for further information.
The ability to speak and write Welsh is desirable for this role but not essential.
The closing date for applications is at 4pm on Thursday 30th January and interviews will be held on the Thursday 6th February in Cardigan.
The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. Posts will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) and open to women only. (Exempt under the Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9, Part 1).
