The seventh round of the Landfill Disposals Tax Communities Scheme (LDTCS) is now open to applications. For main grants between £5,000 – £49,000 and Nationally Significant projects.

Deadline for applications: 23 January 2022, successful projects will start in March 2022.

WCVA are looking for project ideas which would benefit the community, applicants can check eligibility by visiting their website and using the map to see where eligible sites are.

The LDTCS funds projects with a focus on Biodiversity, Waste Minimisation and the reduction of Waste to Landfill and Wider Environmental Enhancements.

The previous six rounds of LDTCS has funded some great projects which are making positive environmental enhancements in their locality with the support of the community. From the reintroduction of pine martens to reuse of discarded plastics, there is a variety of activity happening across Wales.

This round is also open to applications to the Nationally Significant grant, which offers funding for one nationally significant project with a value of between £50,000 – £250,000 which will contribute to two or more of the fund’s themes.

In order to submit a request for funding, applicants will need to register with WCVA’s Multipurpose Application Portal (MAP). If you have previously registered with MAP, you can log in by entering your username and password on the home screen.
