CAVO is funded by Ceredigion County Council to facilitate a Disability Forum, to provide a platform to promote better understanding of the problems facing the Disabled Community, and to learn how Ceredigion County Council policies and decisions can sometimes create or resolve problems for this community in order to improve provision for all and
inform relevant planning processes.
There are four meetings a year with community members to identify needs and issues. There are then four follow-up meetings which specific officers from Ceredigion County Council and other public service providers attend to explore the identified needs and issues.
The main challenge has been to build up trust and communication. CAVO as facilitators have made excellent progress in achieving this.
