The Mid and South West Wales Community Cohesion Team have project funding available (up to £2000) to help create cohesive communities in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Powys.
We are specifically looking for projects that fit the following key criteria:
- Deliver activities that support ethnic minority communities to address community tensions and build community cohesion. This includes Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller communities; Refugees and Asylum Seekers; and action to tackle Antisemitism and Islamophobia.
- Deliver events and activities that specifically bring together people from different communities to foster a wider sense of community and belonging. Proposals should consider how activities support integration, tackle loneliness and isolation, identify commonality through shared interests and experiences, and celebrate the culture and heritage of the area.
Please note applications will not be accepted any later than 5pm on 14th June 2024 and need to be returned to the following email address: comcommunitycohesion@carmarthenshire.gov.uk
