The Welsh Government is currently developing a framework for social prescribing in Wales. This is a key issue for the health and social care sector and both WCVA and CVCs have been engaging with key officials to ensure that the voices of voluntary sector organisations and the people we work with are heard in this process. We are particular keen to make these voices heard as the voluntary sector has been leading the way in social prescribing.
We are expecting a full consultation on a draft framework before the summer, but we have been working with Welsh Government on an earlier opportunity for the voluntary sector to engage around these plans.
This event is open to all voluntary sector organisations and community groups, and will allow us to hear from Welsh Government about their plans in this space, as well as provide some initial feedback to them.
